AND THE WINNER FOR SCRAP ROOM REVEAL BLOG HOP IS...

First I want to invite everyone to participate in my last minute Tropical Storm Challenge.  You can grab any of my freebies and create a quick simple card to participate... You have until August 30 to link it up.  The post is HERE and you can win $10 gift certificate redeemable at SKdigis Shop.

Second,  I want to thank everyone who visited my blog though the hop and wrote a comment.  I am glad my scrap space can be inspiring for some, and my 6 months without use is out rule will be adopted by others.  It is not easy, but is not painful either.  All I didn't use or didn't sell on ebay the first time, I donated to my son's art teacher at school and believe me... she was super happy and grateful.  That was a great feeling.

Ok, now to the blog hop winner.  I had 23 comments, 4 of those comments where from ladies in my design team and since they can work with any of my images, there is no reason to give them this gift certificate... right ladies?

So I ended up with 19 entries and the Random.org selected

Checking my list, in post order from top to bottom.
#14 is...

Crafting With Blue  ...she said...

RIDING OUT TROPICAL STORM ISAAC WITH A CHALLENGE - August 26, 2012

I am inviting all worldwide fellow scrapbooking aficionados to go ahead and take part in this LAST MINUTE Tropical Storm challenge!, Before I get pounded, nailed and hammered by tropical storm Isaac here in South Florida, I’d like everyone to take part in this windy and wet challenge. I am pushing the envelope, as the winner will get a $10 gift certificate from SKdigis.com. So, go ahead and lets have some fun.  Grab the umbrella freebie and make a card.  Link it here and I will pick a winner on September 1st.

Yesterday was a hard day, we put up the storm shutters, yes, I say "we" cause hubby, son and I did and those panels are heavy, but we manage and believe it or not, we did not argue "AT ALL".  5 windows and a patio sliding door on the first floor and 8 windows on the second floor.  We didn't have any wind so it was easy peasy.  We do not think is going to be that bad, but when you are in the storm path or close to it, is better to be safe than sorry.  Twenty years ago we had Andrew and believe me I learned my lesson but I was not even married back then, so hubby doesn't know cause he is New Yorker.   Seven years ago Katrina caught us by surprise and we had a horror night, then it was Wilma and that was another nightmare (even though we had shutters) but this time, I want to sleep tight feeling safe.  All borded up and ready to receive tropical storm Isaac, although, is a visit I rather don't have.

Soooooo... Isaac! I am okay if you don't come to visit us... We won't get upset at all... lol.  Have a wonderful day.

If you want to join the Scrapbook Reveal Blog Hop for a chance to win USD $10 from SKdigis, click HERE

Now, remember to grab the UMBRELLA in the Freebie page and play along.

SCRAP ROOM REVEAL BLOG HOP

Hello everyone! I was invited to participate in the SCRAP ROOM REVEAL blog hop by one of my DT members at SKdigis, Cicily Lesher.  Cicily just remodeled her scraproom and like all of us when we do something inspiring in our little room in the house, we want to share it with the crafty aficionados out there.
And now, onto the hop.  If you arrive here from Becka's Blog you are in the right path, but if you just pop here because you "LOVE" my blog {wink} you may want to go back to Cicily's Blog and start from there.  She has a great give away and you can find lots of candy along the way.

Here is a picture of my main area

My scraproom is not fancy at all, but it is very comfortable, compact and portable.  My table is a 10 feet party table, the drawers are the clear kind from Rubbermaid and I cover the front with vinyl, the units on the side are closet organizers, a bunch of cropper hoppers for my 12" x 12" paper and little boxes to hold my 6" x 6" paper pads.  I really do not have things I won't use.  I sold a bunch of stuff at the beginning of the year cause we had plans to move to Colombia, but even though it did not work out, I am happy I got rid of all the extra stuff I had.  My Cricut is on Craigs list right now with 8 cartridges.  I have not use it for a long time, and in my house, what we do not use for over 6 months, is out.  I am living a life without cluster and has help me greatly with time management.

But before you go,  I am having a giveaway here too! and it is a

For a change to win this gift certificate you must:
1. Follow my blog.
2. Leave me a comment. (one per person please)
3. Follow SKdigis Shop (so you do not miss new releases and occasional freebies)
The random winner will be announced on Monday August 27.

Hope you have enjoyed the view of my room and continue hopping along.  Your next stop is at Katina's Blog... and you don't want to miss it.

Enjoy the rest of the BLOG HOP!

I'M SEXY AND I KNOW IT - GREETING CARD MADE WITH SKdigis

Hello everyone!  For two days on a row we had no luck going to Rapids Water Park.  As soon as we got of I-95, started raining cats and dogs, yes! right on top of the park... I guess it was all that water condensation evaporating and not being able to go anywhere else cause there was no wind at all.  So Tuesday we ended up at my in-laws (YEAH!) and yesterday we went to South Beach.  At least we had lots of fun there, water was great and the day was beautiful... Steven and friends had lots of fun to even though they had their minds set up for the park.  OH well... we tried and they understood.
Today I have a new card to show you.  I made it using one of my new SKdigis and wanted to show you how cute it looks when it is all done in paper piecing...  Hope you like it.

What I use to make this card:
Bazzill Black cardstock
Georgia Pacific (acid free) cardstock
Echo Park 6x6 Designer Paper Pad - Summer Days
& Country Drive Collection
Bo-Bunny - Back to Backs
